The Sword of Sheba is both a powerful weapon, and a difficult side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance that sends you riding across the map in search of five pieces of an ancient sword. The quest itself initially appear that complex, but once you snag it from the weaponsmith over in Sasau, you’ll quickly realize that there are no quest markers or valuable hints to smooth out the process. Just you, your horse, and an entire open world that’s hiding five small pieces of metal. Of course, you also have us, so let’s talk about where you can find the five pieces of the legendary Sword of Sheba. Piece One: The Aquarius Sword Piece Location: Rattay Important: This piece can only be obtained as part of this quest. As far as we know there’s no other way to obtain it as of now.
We’re kicking off our quest for the Sword of Sheba with this piece not because it’s the closest to the quest giver, (there’s actually a piece in Sasau near where you obtain the quest), but because if you don’t complete this quest correctly you might miss out on this piece entirely. To start the Aquarius side-quest you’ll need to speak to the Bailiff in Rattay. He generally hangs out in the barracks above the Rattay tailor and weaponsmith. Ask him if he needs help, and he’ll request that you help him negotiate hiring several former citizens of Skalitz to carry buckets of water and sewage around the city. Most of the quest is pretty straightforward, so just follow most of the markers, convince Agnes to become the cook if you’re feeling energetic, and then speak to Alex to organize a group of potential workers. Then, wait until the next day and return to the barracks to meet the potential hires. You can interview the workers however you like, but the only important conversation for our purposes involves Pickman.
Speak with him and make sure to ask him, “What will I get out of it?’, which will prompt him to offer the piece of the Sword of Sheba as a reward if you get him a job hauling water. Our next stop is a long ride north to Talmberg. If you’re like me, you weren’t able to find a blacksmith in this town, but apparently the Tanner’s neighbor has a secret passion for holy artifacts and blacksmithing.
Flat arcade game turned into a 3D fairy quest with rescue of the Kingdom.
I have no clue how you were supposed to figure this out on your own, aside from accidentally stumbling on it while robbing the place, but maybe I missed something. The house we’re looking for is just southeast of the Tanner beside the western bridge. The farmer and his wife are around most of the day, but if you wait until night falls you can break in while they’re sleeping. Just make sure you bring some meat for the dog to keep him from barking and waking up his owners. If you prefer to knock the blacksmith unconscious, you need to wait until his apprentice heads out back to work on some chores. If you’re quick, you can choke out the blacksmith and loot his body before the apprentice notices. Final Steps: Buying an Artifact With all five pieces of the sword in hand, you’ll now be able to return to the weaponsmith in Sasau to complete the quest.
Once you arrive, hand over the shards of the sword and he’ll give you a reward and ask you to come back the next day to see the finished product. When you return, the weaponsmith will give you a reward and the quest will complete. Unfortunately, if you want the sword for yourself you’ll still need to buy it for around 2000 gold, which is a bummer after everything we just went through.
